The Basilica of Guadalupe receives the authorities of The International Parliament of Education tobless the images of The Pilgrim Virgin. The ceremony was presided over by the Rector of the Basilica

The Rector of the Basilica of Guadalupe, Monsignor Efraín Hernández Díaz receives the ecclesiastical authorities who represented the Archbishop of Los Angeles, José Horacio Gómez, as well as the President of The International Parliament of Education, C.P. Luis Ruiz Guerrero.

On the occasion of the beginning of the tour called “The Pilgrim Virgin” that collaborates with the “For the Union and Peace of Migrants” Program, an important mass was celebrated in front of the venerated Virgin of Guadalupe to bless the images that are part of the tour that begins December 1 at the San Gabriel Mission in Los Angeles, California.

The International Parliament of Education promotes peace among migrant communities and encourages those migrants who seek a message of unity and hope for their families to unite in California. In “The Pilgrim Virgin” an original sculpture is presented, in the image and likeness of the Guadalupe’s Virgin that stands out in the Ayate of San Juan Diego and is located on the property that surrounds the Cerro del Tepeyac. The sculpture has been made with exact measurements and representative elements, thanks to the work of international artist Jorge Ismael Rodríguez. Likewise, the event was attended by the well-known producer Mayra Berenice, who has been recognized as one of the outstanding Latinas who works permanently with the Latin community in the United States.

Within the Organizing Committee of the “The Pilgrim Virgin” tour are personalities such as Monsignor Diego Monroy Ponce, Mr. Martin Achirica Ramos, Mrs. Sara Jaime, President of the Ing. Rogelio Jaime Coria Foundation, as well as the President of The International Parliament of Education, Mr. Luis Ruiz Guerrero. The event was also attended by the Director of the Youth Talents Program, Albert Ruiz Jr., as well as special guests who accompanied us at the beginning of the tour that brings a message of unity and peace for migrant communities seeking a better future for their families.
